Joy LOVES to swim and loves being in the water! This summer, we are taking swimming classes, and Joy is the littlest in the class but is very brave. She is unafraid to jump in, and these blue rectangle floats are perfect for learning how to swim safely. The first time I saw her swim across the pool with this floating device on, I was really nervous for her but also so excited. To see my baby girl (no longer a baby), propelling herself forward through the water, was an amazing feeling. She was pretty excited too, as she had a GIANT smile on her face.

Whenever she is in the water, she has this huge smile on her face. Sometimes, that’s problematic, because sometimes she jumps in the water (with floats, or even sometimes someone there to swim to, and she can swim just a bit without floats) and smiling isn’t the best idea while submerging. Even when she gets a little water in her mouth, it doesn’t dampen her enthusiasm. She always wants to jump in more, swim more. Look at her floating!

Every time we walk down these steps, Joy wants to sniff this one flower, and she fully immerses herself in the experience. I personally can’t smell anything, but I love watching her love this flower.

Veda is a good friend of Joy and they have a lot of fun together. These are from Veda’s birthday party, a lot of fun and a lot of people.
I LOVE this picture. Joy was doing yoga with me, and decided to invent her own version of yoga… this is a laying-down version of a Sun Salutation. She is such a peaceful Yogini!!!
