Happy Birthday Joy!

We had a nice party at Malvern Hills Park. Yvette played music, and we had tasty food.



I chose not to have Joy open presents AT the party, because I didn’t want presents to be the main focus of our celebration. We opened them later at the house.

1) No Grandma’s were hurt in the making of these photographs
2) I generally do not laugh when people fall down, because falling can hurt. I make an exception when no one is hurt, and when the person who fell is themselves laughing, as was the case in this series of pictures. : )

It started with a tasty meal at a nearby Applebees with Grandma. After eating, Joy felt like wandering…

Then, Joy discovered this very interesting bike rack

and discovered how fun it was to climb.

Here, Joy is asking Grandma to join her in the fun

and demonstrates that Grandma could sit down.

Grandma gives it a try, only to discover it doesn’t quite work, and she falls the short distance from the perch to the ground. She starts laughing.

As Joy looks at her, confused, Grandma laughs harder and Mama starts laughing too.

Joy decides we are laughing at her, and she starts hamming it up for the camera.
