Today it was warm, so Joy and I and our friend and neighbor, Greenlee, went to the park today. We had fun and Joy went down the big kid slide by herself several times!
Joy is showing all the signs of readiness for potty training, and so I bought her a litle potty chair for the bathroom. She is very interested in it!
I am not actually all that invested in Joy getting potty-trained this early, so for now I’m just leaving her access to the chair, and she can do what she wants. Actually, I’d even say I’m not really ready at all. But, if she decides she’s really ready to do this, I’ll obviously support her, and help her in whatever ways she needs, but I’m not going to be fueling this activity myself. She’s got lots of time, our lives are still transitioning, so I’m in no rush at all but I will follow her lead.
I will probably not write about this activity on here, as I don’t want her to hate me for it when she’s older and has a more developed sense of privacy. But, I will let you know when she’s reached this accomplishment for herself.
I assembled a small set of shelves today, and Joy was a very good helper. She imitated nearly everything I did, and it was really cute.
