Today Joy said “yay, yay!” and both Grandma Paris and I heard it. Her vocabulary is growing, I’ve heard her say “no” maybe a dozen times, and “yeah” several times. She has also said “hi” several times. Her body language is getting clearer as well, and her general babble is picking up a lot of new sounds and inflections. Language, here we come! Yay, yay!

It’s Joy’s birthday today! Yay, Joy!

I will write more soon, but do know that Joy is doing very well and she had a very nice birthday today!

Joy and I are now in Minnesota! We spent a day and a half hanging out with my brother Dave and his wife Heather. We had a great time! I will post pictures when I am able. We played with Dave and Heather’s dogs (and practiced “gentle”), ate out, and went to the Como zoo. Joy seemed to like the animals, I think the giraffes, monkeys and fish were her favorites. At the house, Slthough Joy was pretty excited about the dogs, she seemed to like Dave and Heather a lot, too. Joy and Heather had a few special sistine chapel like moments where they touched fingertip to fingertip. We had a really nice time!
